Signals Over Skylines

Signals Over Skylines is a Florida-based rock band from Orlando seamlessly blending  elements of hard rock and roll, metal, alternative and pop punk. Known for heavy lyrics, driving guitars, and emotionally charged songwriting, the band delivers a sound that balances raw intensity with melodic accessibility. Formed in late 2023, Signals Over Skylines quickly built a dedicated following through dynamic live performances and compelling recorded releases.

The band’s lineup features Eric Trombley on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Les McDannel on lead guitar and backing vocals, Mario Tafoya on bass and backing vocals, and Jon Lelesi on drums. Together, they craft songs that fuse anthemic hooks with depth and heart, drawing from classic pop-punk influences, modern alternative rock, and hard-hitting metal undertones.

In 2024, Signals Over Skylines released their debut three-song EP Day After Day, a concise but impactful introduction to their sound. The EP explores themes of love, resilience, and introspection, pairing driving guitar work with earnest vocal performances that echo the emotional intensity of early-2000s pop punk while remaining fresh and relevant.

Building on that momentum, the band followed with their full-length album Detours, a 10-track release that expands their musical range and lyrical scope. Songs such as “Bears,” “Gun,” and “Coming Home” blend memorable hooks with introspective storytelling, exploring both personal struggle and universal experience. Released through Ranger Records, Detours further established Signals Over Skylines as one of Florida’s most promising rising rock acts.

Signals Over Skylines has brought their high-energy live show to stages across the region, including The West End in Sanford and Jack Rabbits in Jacksonville, connecting with audiences through raw performance energy and engaging stage presence. Driven by a commitment to authentic expression and continued evolution, the band is currently writing and recording their second full-length album, promising deeper songwriting and an even more refined sound.
